Duke Research on Data Visualization

An article published on RENCI’s website titled Data Visualization to Fine-tune Healthcare showcases the partnership between Duke researchers and RENCI’s Senior Visualization Researcher, David Borland, PhD in developing “…ways to improve physicians’ access and comprehension of large datasets of medical information, by transforming the data into easy-to-understand visual formats.” The research is funded by the Department of Defense. In addition to Dr. Borland, the research team from Duke includes W. Ed Hammond, PhD, Vivian West, PhD, Igor Akushevich, PhD, and Genie McPeek Hinz, MD, MS.
