Due to the immediate need for interdisciplinary, skilled practitioners, education is a key component of the Duke Center for Health Informatics. Duke’s education efforts in the interdisciplinary field of Health Informatics consists of degree programs, certificates, and executive education. The Center bridges the programs by maintaining a core curriculum of courses available to all of the programs, by serving as the nexus of interdisciplinary education, and by facilitating student access to courses across the programs. Health Informatics Programs
Individuals with different backgrounds (e.g., computer science, nursing, medicine, engineering, business, and psychology) often seek Health Informatics training. To meet the diverse needs of those seeking Health Informatics education, Duke offers training programs with both an executive and clinical focus. We offer programs from the certificate level to the doctoral level.
